Dear friends of Daily Philosophy,
This is just a short notice from me that I’ll be away for a few days. You will have noticed that you received this newsletter with some irregularity in the past two weeks, and I’m sorry about that. This was because of the end of semester here at my university, with hundreds of exams and term papers to mark, and, additionally, my knee replacement, which is due tomorrow morning. In fact, I’m writing this from my hospital bed right now, which is not at all a good place to type, at least until I have sorted out how to move the various bits of the bed up and down and forward and back. At the moment, it presents a rather medieval-inn level of comfort.
Anyway, if my doctor manages to get me through this alive, I’ll be back in the coming days with a new knee and a new article, which I have already planned but not yet finished writing. In the new year, things will again go back to their usual rhythm, I hope. And I’ll officially be a cyborg, won’t I?
I wish you all great holidays and a happy new year (if you don’t hear from me before that).
—Andy
I hope everything goes well with your operation. Take it easy until you have recovered. I wish you all the best in the new year.
Hi Andy,
I wish you a happy new year and a fast recovery!
